Ethics and Policies

The International Journal of Modern Achievement in Science, Engineering and Technology (IJSET) is committed to maintaining high standards of research integrity, publication ethics, transparency, and responsible scholarly communication.

The journal expects all authors, editors, reviewers, and contributors to follow recognized principles of ethical research and publication. IJSET aims to ensure that manuscripts are evaluated fairly and that the published scholarly record is maintained with accuracy and integrity.

Research and Publication Ethics

Authors are expected to conduct and report their research honestly and responsibly. IJSET does not tolerate research or publication misconduct, including plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate data or image manipulation, or other violations of accepted scholarly standards.

Authorship and Contributorship

All listed authors must have made meaningful contributions to the research and manuscript and must approve the submitted and final versions of the work.

Individuals who do not meet appropriate authorship criteria should not be listed as authors. Any changes to authorship after submission must be appropriately justified and approved by all affected authors.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could influence the research, evaluation, or publication decision.

Where no conflict exists, authors should provide an appropriate declaration.

Peer Review Ethics

IJSET is committed to a fair, confidential, objective, and constructive peer-review process.

Reviewers must maintain confidentiality, provide professional and evidence-based evaluations, and decline assignments where a conflict of interest or lack of appropriate expertise may affect their impartiality.

Plagiarism and Misconduct

Manuscripts may be assessed for plagiarism and other forms of research or publication misconduct.

Allegations of misconduct are taken seriously and may be investigated by the editorial office. Depending on the findings, appropriate actions may include manuscript rejection, correction, expression of concern, or retraction.

Research Involving Human Participants and Animals

Research involving human participants, personal data, or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional or national requirements.

Where required, authors should provide information regarding ethical approval, the responsible ethics committee or institutional review board, approval/reference number, and informed consent.

Data and Reproducibility

Authors should report their research methods, data, materials, and analytical procedures accurately and transparently. Where appropriate, authors are encouraged to make supporting data and research materials available, subject to ethical, legal, privacy, confidentiality, and intellectual property requirements.

Corrections, Retractions, and Post-Publication Issues

IJSET is committed to maintaining the integrity of the published scholarly record. When significant errors or ethical concerns are identified after publication, the journal may issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction, as appropriate.

Authors and readers are encouraged to report significant errors or ethical concerns to the editorial office.

Complaints and Appeals

Authors may submit complaints or appeals regarding editorial decisions, peer review, publication procedures, or other journal processes.

All complaints and appeals are considered fairly, objectively, and confidentially in accordance with the journal's applicable policies.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based on the academic quality, originality, relevance, ethical compliance, and scholarly contribution of submitted manuscripts.

Editorial decisions should not be influenced by commercial interests, financial considerations, personal relationships, or other inappropriate external factors.

Ethical Responsibilities

IJSET expects:

Authors to report research honestly, acknowledge sources appropriately, disclose conflicts of interest, and comply with applicable ethical requirements.

Reviewers to provide objective and confidential evaluations and to disclose potential conflicts of interest.
