For Reviewers

IJSET values the contribution of reviewers to maintaining the quality and integrity of scholarly publishing. Reviewers play an essential role in providing objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts.

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and independently.

  • Assess the originality, academic quality, methodology, significance, and clarity of the manuscript.

  • Provide constructive comments that help authors improve their work.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality throughout the review process.

  • Declare any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest.

  • Avoid using or sharing unpublished information obtained through peer review.

  • Report concerns regarding plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabrication, falsification, or other forms of research misconduct to the editor.

  • Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe or notify the editorial office if additional time is required.

  • Decline a review invitation when they do not have sufficient expertise or when a conflict of interest may affect their impartiality.

Reviewer Recommendations

After evaluating the manuscript, reviewers may recommend:

  • Accept

  • Minor Revision

  • Major Revision

  • Reject

The final editorial decision is made by the journal's editor based on the overall evaluation of the manuscript and the peer-review process.

Confidentiality and Professional Conduct

Reviewers must treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents. Reviewer comments should be professional, respectful, and focused on the scholarly content of the manuscript. Personal criticism of authors is not appropriate.
