Peer Review Process

The International Journal of Modern Achievement in Science, Engineering and Technology (IJSET) is committed to maintaining a rigorous, fair, transparent, and constructive peer-review process. Manuscripts are evaluated based on their academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness, and contribution to the field.

1. Initial Editorial Assessment

All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial office to determine whether they:

  • Fall within the scope of IJSET;

  • Meet the basic requirements for manuscript preparation and submission;

  • Present an appropriate level of academic and scientific quality;

  • Comply with the journal's ethical and publication policies.

Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's basic requirements or fall outside its scope may be rejected without external peer review.

2. Reviewer Selection

Manuscripts considered suitable for review are assigned to qualified reviewers with appropriate academic or professional expertise in the relevant subject area.

Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, experience, and ability to provide an objective and independent assessment.

Reviewers are expected to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest before accepting an assignment.

3. Peer Review

IJSET uses a peer-review process in which manuscripts are evaluated by independent reviewers.

Reviewers assess the manuscript with particular attention to:

  • Originality and significance;

  • Scientific or scholarly contribution;

  • Research methodology and study design;

  • Quality and interpretation of data or evidence;

  • Clarity and organization;

  • Validity of conclusions;

  • Appropriate use of references;

  • Ethical considerations, where applicable.

Reviewers provide constructive comments and a recommendation to the editor.

4. Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' reports and the editor's assessment, a manuscript may receive one of the following decisions:

  • Accept

  • Minor Revision

  • Major Revision

  • Reject

The final editorial decision is the responsibility of the journal's editor and is based on the overall quality and suitability of the manuscript.

5. Revision

When revisions are requested, authors should carefully address the reviewers' and editor's comments and submit a revised manuscript within the specified timeframe.

Authors may be asked to provide a detailed response explaining how each substantive comment has been addressed.

A revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when considered necessary.

6. Confidentiality

All manuscripts submitted for peer review are treated as confidential documents.

Reviewers must not disclose, copy, distribute, or use unpublished information contained in a manuscript for personal or professional purposes.

7. Reviewer Independence and Conflicts of Interest

Reviewers must conduct their evaluations objectively and independently. They should decline an assignment if a conflict of interest could affect, or reasonably appear to affect, their impartiality.

The editorial office may replace a reviewer when a conflict of interest or other circumstance could compromise the integrity of the review process.

8. Research and Publication Ethics

During the review process, potential concerns regarding plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabrication, falsification, inappropriate data or image manipulation, authorship, conflicts of interest, or other forms of research misconduct may be reported to the editor.

The journal may request additional information or documentation and may take appropriate action in accordance with its publication ethics policies.

9. Appeals

Authors who believe that a significant error or procedural problem has affected an editorial decision may submit an appeal to the editorial office at editor@ijset.com.

Appeals should provide clear and substantive reasons and, where applicable, supporting evidence. Appeals are considered in accordance with the journal's Complaints and Appeals Policy.

10. Post-Publication Review and Corrections

IJSET is committed to maintaining the integrity of the published scholarly record. Where significant errors or concerns are identified after publication, the journal may publish a correction, expression of concern, or retraction, as appropriate.
